About Scope Optics

Scope is The first lab in Egypt and Middle East to manufacture progressive lenses with Free Form Tech. Our vision is to make the name of SCOPE, The leading name in the field of the optical technology and industrial of eyeglass lenses, through the sustainable development and providing the highest quality and best services with a professional concept.

Scope was established in the early sixties of the last century.
under the leadership of professor Ahmed Abdel-Azim, may god have mercy on him, he graduated from institute of optometry in 1958 and was one of the pioneers of the optics profession in Egypt and Arab world
in the late 1960s, Scope introduced the technology of anti-reflection layers with small machines the the evolution to more advanced machines with large capacity, as well as the development of the application from one layer to multi-layers according to international standards.
in 2006 for the first time in Egypt and middle east, Scope Lab introduced Free Form Technology in the manufacture of eyeglass lenses by Optotech machines and by using the lasted software to keep pace with amazing progress in the world  of optical technology and by applying the comprehensive quality system in accordance with international standards ISO 14889/45001/9001.
in 2013, Scope Pioneered the introduction of digital ray path technology which takes into account the position of wearing the frame on the face by taking into account the personalization of customers and obtaining an improved view in all gaze of directions.
In 2015, Scope Pioneered the introduction of RELAX lenses, Protection from harmful blue light by the Japanese company MITSUI, which created an advanced lens material equipped with a filter that absorbs harmful blue light and allows the passage of beneficial blue light, which helps to enhance colors and clarity of vision, which is known commercially under the name Blue cut or UV420.
In 2020, The production lines of Free Form and optical designs have been updated and Advanced Ray Tracing technology has been

introduced as this technology allows eyeglass user to obtain optically optimized free form deviation that cause discomfort, as well as talking into account the real position of wearing the frame on the face according to the person specification of customers, as well as joining of new machines from German Schneider for production with German Optotech machines.
In 2021, Digital Ray Path II Technology is introduced, and this technology differs from the first in that it is based on creating a more specialized design so that the eye adapt to the lens according to the distance at which it is intended to be seen.
Also in 2021, and after further studies and investigations, Scope Lab succeeded in discovering Future Technology in cooperation with some research organization to lunch the new METAVISION lenses that can be customized for all age segment and produced according to a test based on the idea of tracking and analyzing eye movement behavior by simulating how its user look at persons and photos.
In 2022, FOR THE FIRST TIME IN EGYPT, Scope fitting lab was operated with comprehensive quality technology for eyeglass lenses after fitting, according to international standards ISO 21987.
SMEC TECHNOLOGY
The system of cutting and shaping the edge of the lens on the shape of the frame with a milling system reduce stress on the surface of the lens, maintains the coating layers, prevent slipping, and prevents the change of the lens axe.
Examine the quality of the lens surface and ensure compliance with the specification system for reviewing the lens format and its conformity to the sample or design file sent by the customers.
